About the Role

Cavan Images is looking for a highly agile, creative, run-and-gun videographer who is used to guerrilla shooting in the New York City area. You must also have very strong editing skills with an opinion on look and feel appropriate to Cavan. You’ll be creating our brand's social media presence and educational content for our 17k+ contributors globally.

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, know how to tell a story in under 15 seconds, and don't need a massive crew to make great clips, we’d love to meet you.

Who We’re Looking For

• NYC Local: You are based in the New York area, we’ll be doing most of our shooting here.
• A Nimble Shooter: You are completely comfortable operating solo with a mirrorless camera, a gimbal, and capturing clean audio on the go.
• A Badass Editor: Post-production is second nature to you. You are highly proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, or advanced CapCut workflows. You know how to make an edit energetic and feel right for our brand.
• Social-First Mindset: You know social media. You understand hooks, viewer retention, and are able to tell compelling stories.
• Self-Starter: You can take a rough concept and run with it from pre-production to the final export.

The Details

• Location: Hybrid. Remote editing, but you must be physically present for on-location filming across New York City.
• Gear: You must have your own editing set-up. Shooting equipment is a plus, but can be augmented by Cavan.
• Compensation: Competitive hourly rate (commensurate with experience, speed, and portfolio).
• Commitment: Part-time, with flexible hours based on shooting schedules and content needs.
